Tenjou Night is the prototype figure of the Nightly Series produced by Kronos Heaven - this is why he is often referred to as Unit 01 by several members of the cast. He came to Riiko after she jokingly submitted an order for the "ideal boyfriend" and Night aims to be just that. While his girlfriend continously defers his advances, Night's only objective in life is to make her happy - he genuinely wishes for this from the bottom of his little mechanized heart. It is that strong desire, originally instilled in him by his programming, that forces a change in him. Without even realizing it, Night starts to act on his own - forging his own beliefs and feelings - and his programming suddenly gives birth to true, heartfelt emotions. Before anyone can realize what is really happening, Night is becoming more and more human with each passing day, all thanks to his love for Riiko.

Night has the feel of that loveable boy-next-door (who doubles as a model or something) and does his best to make his most important person happy. He, more than any other character, is willing to sacrifice any amount if it means it will keep Riiko smiling and it is his prescence - that is, everything that emcompasses him - that make him such an amazing character.
