VERSION ONE POINT OH

name. ADELLEDA; night light
number. one point oh
lyric. "Is this really all we have?"
feature. Alexisonfire
time. 15+ hours (design); 50+ hours (coding) because I'm lazy

Version one point oh was made in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and features one of my favorite images of Alexisonfire. To be honest, I find it very difficult to work with images of actual people, so I just slathered textures and gradients on top of it until I felt it was something presentable. As the first official layout, I felt it needed to feature the domain's namesake - hence why my brothers from north of the border are featured so brazenly across the top.

The rollovers were easily accomplished - it's become expected of me to do them now. It was the animation (which was coded in ImageReady) that took so very long to work out. I played with it for several hours before I got it to its final state; the entire point was to feature the entire network in this first layout, so hopefully that was accomplished well enough. The colors are zany, I know. I'm sorry if they blind you - I seem to have no ability to distinguish between "unique" and "horrifying".

The entire layout was completely coded in Notepad - which took far too long, mostly due to my own laziness. I tend to play with stuff a lot when I code it in - if I don't like something, I automatically go to fix it, etc. It often takes me hours just to finish a single page, depending on what it's for. I put my full effort into this layout, since it's such a milestone and hopefully it shines through.

The texture used in the layout is from awmp.net, with many happy thanks. Brushes were made by other people too, but I can't seem to find a name on them at all. I'll update this when I track them down.
